Ballymena Car Fest 2011 Raises £25,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support

 

11th of June 2011 saw Northern Irelands largest Car and Truck show take place at Ballee Playing fields for the third year, with over 750 cars, trucks, tractors and bikes on display.

All to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support and their new palliative care unit at Antrim Area Hospital.

Thousands of spectators came from all over the province to see some of Ireland and UK’s top show cars and lorries on display, along with live action stunt driving by world renowned precision driving expert Paul Swift.

 

The top accolade of the show went to Mr Richard Bingham from Moira, winning the Northern Ireland Concours Car of the year and booked his spot at The Meguiar’s NEC Club Showcase Final 2011 in November.

The Car Fest team also took the task of Raffling a brand new Proton Savvy car supplied by John Mulholland Motors to boost funds, which saw 8 year old Katie Adams from Broughshane win the keys of the top prize.

 

The show raised £25,000 this year making a total of £51,000 donated over the past three years to MacMillan Cancer Supports Palliative Care Unit at Antrim Area Hospital.
